Not trying to be rude or confrontational simply pointing out a small oversight. Josh was the commander of the Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office Swat Team, not the police department. Josh was an awesome guy and we’ll all miss him tremendously. Please keep his wife and his boys in your prayers and those of us that wear this uniform would appreciate if you’d all throw one up to the big man for us too. The current climate makes it more and more difficult to put this uniform on and kiss our families goodbye each day.

I attended a conference last month and a Lt. Colonel from DPS came and spoke. At the end of his speech he said something that stuck with me and I had to shake his hand because he shed light in what has become a dark room for me.
He mentioned attending fallen trooper Chad Walkers funeral in Groesbeck. He said he arrived to find 1000s of people lining the streets as the procession passed by. Little kids with flags, veterans saluting, etc. Then the little Texas town filled the football stadium to pay their respects to trooper Walker. People who didnt know Chad Walker, people who just came to support him and his blue family.
The Lt had to remind a room full of LE that those 1000s of people are who you signed that oath for. Not the media and not those who want to defund your department. When you put that uniform on and SO for your shift, remember those people who supported Tropper Walker.
Those people are your America and they have your back
