I'd also make sure to ask what material the implants will be. Some do Titanium and others do Zirconium. Titanium is a harder, more durable implant, but some people wind up being allergic to Titanium and have health problems after the fact. Nothing super severe, but it could definitely affect your quality of life. As far as eating and post-op, my wife opted no pain meds after having hers put in, but she was also breast feeding at the time and didn't want to harm our daughter in any way. She did OK though, so I bet you will be fine.

Ok fellas I’m five hours out. When it was over I had a horrible taste in my mouth. Don’t know if was some kind of anti biotic spray or what. It’s still with me as I write.
Moderate swelling and a few prescriptions along with a soft diet. Anesthesia and numbing has worn off. So far no problems. For me the worst part was having to forgo my morning coffee. So that’s it in a nutshell. Thanks to all that contributed and I hope those contemplating this have learned a little as well.

Goodluck. Sounds like you were spared any bone or tissue grafts. Keep it clean and let it heal.

Actually there was a sinus lift done as well. Will leave the explanation of that to the dentist on here. Apparently there was not enough bone in my sinus cavity so they added to it. That DOES NOT include the price of two crowns down the road. Looking at a minimum of $3,000.00 for those. Hope this thread has helped a few of y’all contemplating having the procedure done
