I have several rechargeable Fenix lights and they are bright.

PD36R - super-bright but pretty big for EDC - stays in my truck.
E02R - small rechargeable light. I carry this on my keychain - it is great for its size.
E09R - Another relatively small light that is very bright for the size.

I also have some Olights that are good lights.

Check out O-light. They make some great products.

Olight S1R Baton II. Awesome smaller light. Comes with a magnetic charging base and I’ve given all of my headlamps to my boys because this is small enough to clip to the bill of my cap instead.

In mostly used the PD36R on patrol and it is stunning. I carry other brands and Fenix models and lots of great lights out there. I worked with about 50 officers on evenings and night patrol and I often got called to put their latest “best light” to the test.

When I retired two months ago, they were still searching….

On a size note, the PD36R is no bigger than the light in BlackNRed’s OP.

I use a ThruNite model that I use when I need about a 15,000 lumens light that is about 6” long but it isn’t one you can throw in your pocket.

As a pretty good cheaper alternative, I have a couple of these. I have accidentally swapped a tail cap with a ThruNite And it fit and worked perfectly. It makes me wonder…..

I think they were previously called A-Tac. I have used them on patrol and drop kicked them down the road and everything else and I have never had a problem.

Thanks guys. I’m checking them all out. I’m done with these cheap stupid lights!! It just seems light every light I get one the led starts flicking or the button quits working in no time.

I went to my other house yesterday to check it out cause the police caught a guy there Wednesday evening. Shop has electricity but not the house, the shop was basically turned upside down, went I got in the house(with my cheap light) started looking around stuff was thrown everywhere, made it to the back of the house where the rooms was darker & in the middle of the big room, wouldn’t you know it my flashlight went off, about the same time I hear something in one of the rooms & the light wouldn’t come back on!! Needless to say I thought I was gonna have to clean my draws out!! So time for a good light.

Olight is my go to. Super small and super bright. Has a clip that you can put on a hat also for hands free walking in the dark.

The ProTac 1L-1AA will also run on a AAA. I keep looking for a replacement but none have that flexibility.

NEBO Slim+ is what my work provides. It is an awesome light for EDC and the best I have used for lighting up a large space.

I go through a flashlight nearly yearly. Have had a lot of Fenix lights, but switched to NEBO. Got a NEBO SWYVEL. It's ok. Super bright, rechargeable, and has a swivel head that's super handy working inside electrical cabinets. Downside is the clip is annoying. Plan to look into those Olites the next time. That tiny one looks slick!
