I've used cimmaron and Martin's clean pasture in the past for the Bermuda part of my yard, and spot sprayed the centipede and St Augustine, as I don't think these herbicides are recommended for use on either. I found MSM turf at the feed store last year and it worked on all 3 of my desired grasses. MSM turf doesn't go as far as the first 2 I mentioned, but it's cheaper by the bottle, haven't done the math per acre. You'll likely at least have to spot spray every year until your neighbors get on board. Offer to spray his for the cost of the herbicide, or if he won't do that, see if he'll let you do it just to keep it out of your yard at your cost. Tell him things like... it'll be easier to cut, you won't have to mow as often, and it's not as hard on mower blades.
