I put 2 of them out back in March or so, the Reveal X version AT&T. I mounted them on the same T-Post with my coverts looking as much as I could adjust them at the exact same view as the coverts. I wanted to test their response time, pic quality, triggering function, etc...
All I can say is WOW! There's absolutely no comparison between the two... the Reveal X cameras blow away the Coverts.
Check these pics out for comparison...

These two are a good example of trigger speed!
These Reveal X cameras are FAST!

very nice, the clarity is out of the park!
If you don't mind me asking, what was the sensitivity setting on your Reveal Xs? Mine is 5. ( going by the two bird pics here).

Have the sensitivity set to minimum on both cameras... Where they are mounted in South Texas, it gets above 100 degrees most days and the cameras (all brands/types) with PIR sensors will take "wind" shots because they work of a combination of thermal and motion... If the thermal is 100 degrees anyway, all they need is a little "motion" from anything and snap, you got a pic... I'll say though, that's probably the only setting and function that the Coverts out-perform the Reveal X's on... The Coverts when set at minimum rarely miss a pic of any real animal inside my pens and rarely take random wind shots... The Reveal X's right now are probably taking 20 pics a day each that have nothing in them to trigger the shot other than wind blown plants... That's a small deal for me compared to what they do...

Charlie have you cleaned the three lens surfaces on your Covert lately? I was having same issue. Cleaned lens/cover on outside of camera, inside door lens/cover and the actual lens. Made a big difference.

Jeff, I've done it multiple times. Next trip, I'm taking some Windex in case there's some oily film or something on them... Have 3 Coverts and they are all like that. Don't know what the deal is as they didn't use to be as bad as they are now... but they were never as clear as these Reveal X's... It's about 30 yards across my pens and I can zoom in on deer against the opposite fence and count points with the Reveal X's... Have never been able to do that with the Coverts... though I agree they seem dirty, but haven't figger'd out how to clear/clean them up yet.

I've caught several birds in mid flight as well. Trigger speed and picture quality are great and, unlike my spycams, the reveal X worked for me right out of the box.

I got the herd 360 integrated solar/lithium pack plugged into mine. I have it set on sensitivity of 8 and I take double shots 1s apart. 16mp image quality. I also take 8 second videos so that if I see something cool on the camera I'll note it and grab the video. I have it set to send timely so I get all my pix shortly after they are taken. All of these settings burn through battery but even with the rain, my solar battery remains at 100% so I give the herd 360 a thumbs up.

Yes just bought 2 from Scheels for $119. As quick as they showed available they were sold out. I guess lucky timing on my part.

Customer service is awesome! I had one that quit sending pics. I contacted them and tried a few steps to test it as directed. Rep. said I would have to send it in for a re-flash. They sent me a prepaid shipping label and had it back in a week or less.
