            Calcutta

You don’t want just any ol bamboo you need Calcutta bamboo Cane. There was a place in Port Arthur that sold it years back and there was a gas station in clear lake that did.

Not strong enough. sometimes you have to stop your aluminum boat with it after you have stabbed one

Buy Stiffy Flounder Gigs. Choose from 5' to 14' fiberglass poles and 3 or 4 prong stainless steel heads. Graphite reinforced connections and epoxy sealed ends.

first place you recommended does not have 10-12' bamboo pole. 2nd place is a fiberglass pole and gig only. But thanks anyway

Look up Boutwell Bamboo out of Alabama. They sell bamboo gig handles and are well thought of.

                        Boutwell.

I believe Overboard Custom Boats sells them. Jerry’s LEDs dealers might lead you in the right direction as well.

This post brings back memories....when I lived in Beeville in my early years our neighbor across the street had bamboo all over the place. My buddies and I would make foundering gigs out of the stalks. They were legit.

My Leon Co bamboo shooting sticks are pretty solid. When I was a kid dad cut a long bamboo pole and epoxied an clamp frog gig to one for me
