Lake Ouachita

Anyone familiar with this area? Thinking about spending a day there next week on the way back from vacation. Are there fun things to do? Places for the kids to swim? I know it is a beautiful lake.

Almost 30 years since I was there.Stayed at state park when I was a kid.It was a beautiful deep clear water lake.Water is ice cold coming out below the dam and crystal clear feeding the river.

went striper fishing there with a guide 3 weeks ago. the bite was slow for us, but the fish we did get were fun. it is a beautiful lake; I want to get my kids up there and camp &/or rent a boat to fish/tube/etc. sometime

I will be fishing there the morning of July 4th. We stay at Hot Spring Village.

it was cool, but that was about the first weekend with warm/hot weather. not sure how much it may have warmed up the last 3wks

Stayed a couple of nights there several years back. Beautiful country & beautiful lake.
