    Boat rebuild pic heavy

Looked at buying new shallow water boat but due to build time and the difficulty of finding a motor I decided to do a 100% rebuild on my predator. Went all composite on floor, new gel coat, new 200 Suzuki, all new wiring, pumps, switches and controls. I though it came out pretty nice!

It’s going to sound like I’m an idiot but looking at the Dargel Kat and the Shallow Stalker 24 which were both priced in the 80k range, I decided this route. Total price with everything done including new aluminum trailer and motor was 44k. The composite floor, re gel coating hull and upper deck was right at 11k by itself. Cougar Marine in San Benito did all the work. Fiberglass, upholstery, aluminum work, and powder coating. Pretty much all in one place. They did an amazing job. I saw a 80’s model shallow sport they had rebuilt that sold me on them. You’d never have known that boat was 25 years old. They just sold it for 52k.

Nice job, great looking boat @ 1/2 the price of new.

I just did the exact same thing with my 20 year old El Peacador and could not be happier. Looks awesome.
