Best be careful, I hear snakes are more pissy around the time they shed. Don't know if before, after or a little of both
They're a little more jumpy and less likely to get out of the way before they shed because they can't see as good. Once they shed their seeing goes back to normal.
Yes. I never really have any other snakes strike at bobbers during retrieval than Copperheads.
A freaky sight was seeing copious amounts of Copperheads on Calaveras making babies on the reeds along the entire shoreline. Two snakes doing the horizontally diaganol vertical hokey pokey 2’ above water…with 5 sets in every direction…
