    High Fence Cost

Not looking for debates on whether to or not, etc. I'm just looking for a current estimated cost per foot for high fence. Thanks.

Several variables, but my last quote about 60 days ago came in at $6.00/LF using tightlock, galvanized t-post and galvanized line posts. He was a little worried about materials going up again, so quote was only good for a few days.

Water gaps, gates and excessive corners will add to it.

Save yourself a little money and don't put a string of barbed wire at the top. Does no good and will only help to hang up a deer if they try and go over.

The above pricing also did not include any clearing or brush work. It assumed a cleared fence line.

Thanks. I was thinking about $10 per foot so sounds like I'm in the ballpark

I just priced the 96" wire. A 330' roll is going for $435. That is $1.32/LF just for the wire.

my last bid was a little under $6 a foot also. did not include any clearing either. was going to run a mulcher through a couple of passes. this was an infield high fence dividing an already high fences pasture

Just did 30 acres next to my home but built a smaller 5 acre pen within the 30 acres with 3 gates and was 9.00ft, did all the clearing and leveling myself. They did take down old barb wire fence down and pulled posts.

We built about 8000' last November. It was about $6/foot, plus our cost to pay a dozer to clear the line.

$7.00 to $9.00 for good quality with plenty of Line Post and Tee post.

Thanks for the replies. That definitely gives me what I need. Hopefully it levels out but I doubt it.

depending on soil type, clearing , and corners, it will be between 40k and 60k per mile.
