Did you see where tpwd is proposing 3 trout limit for the next 2 years. Something like 3 fish 17-23 inches. I think it was from upper, middle and lower coasts but not sure. They are asking for public input even though they already know what they are going to do.

18 months, 3 trout 17-23 from 457 in Sargent south.

Where the "2 years" comes in is it would be in effect for 2 full spawning seasons. Emergency orders can only last for 18 months so that is why it'll be 18 months. At that time they can look at the data and see where we are at and decide if anything more needs to be done.

I've only been keeping 2-3 trout at a time since the big freeze anyway. Is what it is, at least we can still take a few home to cook.

I’m for it. This freeze and what we saw online after is that many only care about the bottom line, not the resource.
