Will be interesting to see if it can be sustained. Out of state buyers aren’t used to our property taxes.

We have land east of Abbott, and there’s this property next to our fence that is only 20 acres, barely any trees for cover, and a tiny tank that’s at least 20 feet round.
The owner has it for sale at $250,000.

I asked the owner why so high? His response was he was hoping someone from California would buy it.

So far I believe it’s been like 2 years.

The Californians are moving in, in large numbers, also people from the north east. They both drive land and house prices way up. They will buy stuff on line, never actually see the property, till they show up to move in.

They are F'ing up our state in a big hurry. On top of driving our land prices way up, they are diluting our votes in our own state.

Around here, land prices have gotten insane, 80,000 for an acer of flat black clay with no trees, that used to be a pasture or farm field five years ago, is getting very common. They were selling the same low value pieces of land, for $40,00 an acer a few years ago, but the prices keep going up fast.
