    Looking for a good rangefinder

I know there are several good ones out there. I've been using a Nikon for years, no issues but open to any brand. Mine doesn't have the angle compensation. My primary use will be for archery but I also rifle hunt so long range would be useful. I'm definitely not the type that thinks you have spend a lot and have the "best". Just want a reliable, accurate RF with the compensation capability.

If budget isn’t a option. Leupold for me

Vortex would be next in line

Leupold, Sig, or Vortex. I use a Leupold, but i have heard many good things about the Sig

        Leica or sig.

My Leica lrf 800 won’t ping trees/brush out past 4-500, but my sig will ping em out to 7-800.

Just watch the advertised range vs the actual range. It’s closer to 50-60% for what I’ll call “practical” use for hunting.

I know that Sig acquires a lot of companies and that they keep the same product going and just put their name on them and up the pricing. I wonder who makes these for Sig?

So here is my take on Range Finders, Its electronic and things happen. Leupold told me I could only expect 3-4 years of life for the display in their RF and that is just the nature of their display. Leupold offers 2 year warranty, Sig has 3 and Vortex has lifetime. After my last to Leupolds gave up after 3 years I went with Vortex and will never have to buy another unless I just want/need a second one.
