Daily Bible Portion – 1 of 7
"IN MY DECREES"
(Weekly Reading>>Leviticus 26:3-27:34, Jeremiah 16:19-17:14
Matthew 23:1-24:2, John 14:15-21; 15:10-12)
We find in the study of "In My Decrees", the last portion in the book of Leviticus, God's closing remarks regarding His instructions for tabernacle life. Since leaving Egypt, the Israelites have camped at Mount Sinai for one full year. These Levitical instructions where received over a one month period between the time the tabernacle was set up (as recorded at the end of the book of Exodus), and the time when the census was taken at the beginning of the book of Numbers. During this month period God very carefully laid out the description of how the tabernacle functioned, the duties, roles and positions of the Levites, the Levitical priests and Levitical High Priest (the Bride) before them.
We see how important the teaching of the tabernacle is to the Lord in Ezekiel, as it is spoken as a prophetic message to the generation entering into the Messianic age.
Ecclesiastes 3:11 "He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also He has put eternity in their hearts, except that no one can find out the work that God does from beginning to end."
The Principles that Govern the Land
This section in Leviticus extends to believers the instructions that govern the land and the ultimate resting place of the tabernacle. To those who choose to follow God's ways there are blessings physically, spiritually and emotionally along with the promises of provision and prosperity. However, in Leviticus 26:14-34 God also warns us of the other side of blessings if we choose not to follow His ways and stray from His principles. Yahweh, in His mercy, very clearly lays out five levels of warnings to help believers see the error of their ways and to draw us back to Him. If we do not turn back, these warnings then become consequences. It is we who produced the consequences in our lives when we allow lawlessness to rule and reign in our lives. The purpose of His principles is to produce redemption. If we ignore His instructions we will be a scattered people among the Nations and a people who turn their backs on His ways. Only when the Land lay desolate and cleared of disobedience and dishonor could it finally enjoy its Sabbath rest.
Today, the consequences are closer to home than we think. In the present day, nations including the USA are coming against the Covenant of the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

Ezekiel 43:10-12 "Son of man, describe the temple to the house of Israel, that they may be ashamed of their iniquities; and let them measure the pattern. And if they are ashamed of all that they have done, make known to them the design of the temple and its arrangement, its exits and its entrances, its entire design and all its ordinances, all its forms and all its laws. Write it down in their sight, so that they may keep its whole design and all its ordinances, and perform them. This is the law of the temple. The whole area surrounding the mountaintop is most holy. Behold, this is the law of the temple".
Ecclesiastes 3:11 "He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also He has put eternity in their hearts, except that no one can find out the work that God does from beginning to end."
Isaiah 46:9-10 "Remember the former things of old, for I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like Me, declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times things that are not yet done"
Hebrews 4:6, 14 "It still remains that some will enter that rest, and those who formerly had the gospel preached to them did not go in because of their disobedience. Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has gone through the heavens, Jesus/Yeshua the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess."
