Thank you! We got incredibly lucky finding this place. It was in a family for over 50 years. They both passed away and left it to their niece out of state. It was on the market for just a few days when we snagged it.

Reminds me how I grew up. This will be something your kids will never forget. Congrats on a successful set up! Awesome.

We brought in big tilapia to help with vegetation control and so they can start spawning. The bass will be crushing their hatches.

Structure. Held down with cinder blocks.

Broadcast Corn gluten meal to control the algae.......
All natural..... and the fish, eat anything left over........

Haven’t updated in a while. Tons of rain has made things interesting. Never got a real bloom and the grass went crazy. Did some chemical treatments and added aerators. It has helped. Been catching a few good ones recently. Will do a survey when it cools off and likely adding more bass. The bluegill have exploded.

Lastly, finally broke ground for the barn/barndo! Should be laying the foundation in a week or so.

Lost power for several days and had a few big trees down. Amazingly, none landed on the new fence. Phew! Other than that, just a bunch of rain making for a bit of a mess.
