A Question for the Law Enforcement Guys...

I had my suburban towed to my mechanic in Kingwood on 5/15, and have pictures that show it arrived safely. After that, a transmission place in Spring came to get it on 5/17, and security camera footage showed that the front grill was completely gone when it arrived at their shop. The transmission place insists that it was like that when the tow truck driver picked it up, but my regular mechanic says it was in fine shape. I'm trying to figure out what recourse I have, and if there is a way to access traffic camera footage between Kingwood and Spring. The green screen always seems to have the answers.

I could give you a legal opinion, but I'm not law enforcement. I have learned to only be responsive to the requests here. :-). Good luck.

If you can prove it was in good shape once the mechanic had it then Judge Judy may say the mechanic should pay for it and then if he didn't do it get the money from the transmission place.

That's the extent of my law degree.

I don't believe this is a law enforcement question.

You are probably right. I'm curious to see if there is a way to access traffic camera footage from Monday, May 17th in Humble.

If you know or have a good idea of the route from the mechanic to tranny place, you may be able to ask businesses along the route if you can see their security footage. Or ask Chew, I think he is from that area.

I assume you mean traffic cams which are ran by trans-star and not directly connected to LE

I thought that the front piece might have been stolen, but it looks like it was broken off. I'm guessing the tow truck driver got rear ended in the bad rain we were getting that afternoon.

Sounds like my insurance company will have to sort it out.
