Pig Trap question

So I need to build one.
I've got a plan, in my head, thinking circle 6 or something like that.

I've never done it. I'm going to to re read a few threads on the design aspect.

It'll be on a private airport, they're tearing up the grass runway. There's neighbors, schools and Churches in the area.

How do you determine where to put it? Close to water?
On google maps I can see a pond on the property and there's a couple more over close to the school but the best cover looks to be on the other side of the property.

Put it where it’s handy to you and safe to execute the pigs. Corn it and they’ll find it.

There are these things called ‘Bows’ they come in many different types and are very quiet- I can’t remember where I heard of them :-)

Bows are for sport but they aren't going to help you with a pig problem.

Theres probably a hole or low spot in the fence where there getting in. Just corn from there to your trap. By the water is good too. If there are deer around, you may want to soak the corn in some water with a little bit of diesel. Hogs will eat it but, deer won’t. Good Luck

Depends on how often you check the trap. Any high traffic area where you see pig activity is fine. Water isn't really all that important. But, even though you're going to kill them, you don't want to torture them. If you don't check the traps often, make sure there is shade and water. If you check them daily, doesn't matter. Like stated above, easy vehicle access to the traps is a plus.

Deer around Madisonville eat up diesel corn and there’s nothing unique about them. Caught more does than hogs in the box style. Coral style with trip wire on a saloon door with feeder finally got me working.
