I've been told to try Cognac with my cigars. I want to try it on an upcoming vacation but have no idea on brands. Suggestion came from a guy that buys $4k bottles so that's a no go. Lets say sub $60- what's the best choice?

that's tough. Cheap cognac usually tastes like it is.
I'm not really a huge fan of the juice, but have tried a few that I liked.
on the acceptable list:
ABK6 XO under $100
Pierre Ferrand Cognac Selection des Anges about $150
Hardy Legend 1863 is supposedly a good reasonable Vintage, but I haven't tried it.
that Remy Louis XIII though.....one of our law firms handed it out at Christmas last year.

I’m no help on quality but I hear brandy is made the same but not made in the region made famous for cognac. You might find a good brandy with out the cost of being from the cognac region.
