I catch young ones on corn or cat food, it's the older ones that give me fits.

Marshmallows bring in the fire ants way too much for me. Corn is what we use.

I guess we are pretty fortunate out west as we don’t have any issues with fire ants and the marshmallows. Don’t have many at all. I can understand wanting to avoid those suckers. We do have the big red ants but they must not do marshmallows. The mid-day sun is about all that messes with the MMS except coons.

little debby swiss rolls. they fit perfectly in the traps, and they're also delicious. I'm a fat guy that likes snacks, so it works out great.

Banana flavored. The scent draws them in. Only downside is the ants in warm weather.

I put the same corn/protein mix from my feeder in the dukes when I go to put feed out. Works great every time.

Thanks all. Good field trail information here. I have used the marshmellows before with success, but wind up having to boil the traps to get the goooooo out of them.

I will post some pics of the next coon trapping.
