Help- getting an electrical bite from bath tub fixtures

Like the title says- I am starting to get an electrical bite when turning on the water faucet in the bath tub. Doesn't seem to happen every time but it is starting to happen more frequently. Is this and indication of a bare wire maybe touching a water pipe? On occasion I would get some water hammer when taking a shower- could this vibration possibly have rubbed a wire to cause this to happen?

Static electricity maybe? Are your pipes steel or plastic?

You need to call a good (not average) electrician. Thumbing through a bunch of knuckle-dragging bowhunters posts could make plenty room for something seriously going wrong.

My inlaws house started that after they replaced the tub and shower. Can barely even stand to take a shower while at their house. i think he must have driven a nail or screw into a wire in the wall or something.
