Looks like several Numbing bucks all new this month are bumping 2, 3, 4 7 yr old post. All with links in their comments. 2 most recent are the gun sling thread and whether to watch football or movie thread.

Why beat a dead horse? I'm seeing a lot of this on TradTalk and ArcheryTalk due to the suggested reading that someone thought was a good idea to put beneath every post. It sure clutters up the works when someone comments. It may be good reading but I have yet to see much value come from bringing the post back to life on the front page of what is literally thousands of pages of posts.

Yup....if they have links in their posts like you describe while bringing up old threads, they are spammers.....seen it quite a bit here through the years. They may not be dangerous spammers but they are usually selling something and have no interest in the forum participation otherwise.
If there were no links, I'd say it could be newbies reading an enjoying the threads that lose track of where they are thread age wise and reply...Last edited by Smart; 04-23-2021, 07:04 AM.
