nothing like hunting with your son. My best hunts so far have included my son. Cant wait to live through him pretty soon.

Nice slug gun...hog killer deluxe! Mine is the synthetic stocked version of the 870 express, with a rifled slug barrel and RedDot on top. It likes the plastic-saboted slugs best. That's my short-range choice (up to 50+ yards). For longer ranges, the .308 Savage 12VFSS gets it done, nothing like a 165gr bullet in the ear to drop them like a rock. Can't wait for my son to get big enough to take along...looks like your boy is having a blast!

I like Me and My Boy - it reminds me of that song "Me and My Gang" which is why I had the pleasure of reading this post.

Thanks for the story. I always enjoy reading about kids hunting.

Awesome. Like Ted Nugent says, "Hunt with your kids so you don't have to hunt for them". I started with my boy when he was 10, now when he's in college we go hunting to share time together.

I like the duct tape technique. Try a laser pointer like you'd use at a meeting, they're usually $5 in office supply discount stores. Shim it with pieces of paper to march where you sight at 20 yards, and tape the button down when you're ready to hunt. Just like the Terminator, but the Piginator.
