The final call is tough. I could not do that on the radio and am impressed that someone can hold it together to make the call.
In 20 years in communications, I did 3 final calls. They were for friends and officers I worked with every day. Those were unquestionably the hardest words I have ever spoken. I can’t hear one today without tearing up.
