When I was in college 40+ years ago I took the Water Safety Instructor course. The fellow who taught it said to NEVER try to teach your wife or kids to swim- pay somebody or barter to teach their family.

I’m an NAA Level 1 instructor (5 is the highest) and taught lots of newbies. I would strongly agree.

I would also do lesson 1 with a 15-20# string bow. They might like it more and ‘go trad’.

My wife shoots a obsession k34 and a 42# bow. She can’t pull a lot more but that is her comfort setting and I’m fine with it.
Have her shooting 200 grains upfront and a viper trick !

Took her to Precision Archery yesterday, she went straight to the Mission Hammer, Beman arrows. She took to it very well, I actually had to make her not shoot to much. She has a very good natural form. Keeping the range very short right now , drawing 28lbs. Donnie gave her a lesson. She might be ready by October.

Thanx for all the advice....hope to be posting a pic of one of her many kills.
