Trimming Live Oak Trees

Coming back to East Texas today and stopped to look at some live oaks. Sure enough all the leaves are dead but there was new growth all over the canopy on every one I looked at from Dallas to home. If it were me, I wouldn't touch anything this year and wait to let the trees recover from the extreme freeze.

Wow the answers are all over the map on this issue. Some completely opposite. I too have a huge oak that needs trimming. No idea what to do after reading this.

I do min all the time just thin it out cut a little look a lot before the next cut
