    Treble Hooked Today! (with video)

Went bass fishing today and was tearing 'em up. I caught a little 2 pounder and when I got him in he had an old crankbait hooked in him along with my bait. I removed both hooks and stood up and took a step. When I took a step I didn't realize that the line on the old lure had wrapped around my foot. With the lure in my left hand when I stepped, it sunk that old dull treble hook in my thumb. It was awesome! I tried my best to get it out at the lake so I could keep fishing but ended up having to head to the house to get it out. Good thing my wife and kids were gone. She would have passed out lol. I still made it back to the water by 6:30pm and caught a few more... Enjoy the videos!

Ok you did all of this wrong. Wife got a hook stuck in a finger and the Dr. told us she would need a stitch or two. I said oh heck no and instructed the good Dr. on how to remove a barbed hook from anything.
One large serenge and the hook slides out.

Google is your friend from time to time..........................

Ouch! Look up the string trick to get em out. A few years back I somehow hooked myself almost a half dozen times in about the same number of weeks while wade fishing for trout. String trick worked to get them all out, most I had to do solo.

Pain is just the Lord's way of letting you know your still alive. And there's still some life to be lived.

Now, go get a tat of a hook on your thumb?

I didn't know any of the tricks mentioned. Who the heck has a syringe laying around the house? After fishing my whole life, that was actually the first time I've ever hooked myself good. I'm usually pretty careful.

                        Martha Focker that looked fun!!

I stepped on a treble hook as a kid, and my pops yanked it out with some needle nose pliers, fun times!

First time I ever got hooked was in the lobe of my ear with a red and white Lucky 13 while watching another lad learn to cast, (dang rookie). I was about 10 at the time and well fished. Needle nose pliers and it was out.

Needed to apply more downward pressure at the bend for easier removal. That just looked painful lol
