    Pelican Bass Raider 10E

Anyone have/had this little boat for pond hopping or small lakes? Pros/Cons? I have fished in one before and liked it and found it to be very stable and easy to move around with one person. I assume it fits easily in the back of most trucks? I've been seeing some really cool videos of mods guys are adding to them as well. I may pull the trigger soon. Thanks!

Im right there with you! I've been looking for a used one but no luck. There are several brands making similar models. I have a little 30 acre lake right by my house that doesn't allow gas engines, so I think one of those would be perfect.

      Yep, I've had one...........
And loved it, for small water, or a quiet river............
But, I will give ya some advice...........
If your mounting your trolling mtr, on the front..........
Mount, a stableing rudder on the rear........
or your gonna be doing some tight circles........

100% agree on the stabilizer. Also if you are fishing buy yourself put something heavy in the back as well as all tackle etc.

I’ve always put my motor in the back with no issues.
Edit: I looked and have a different model.

We pulled a father and son out of a river once. Their brand new one sunk on them. We passed by and it was looking low. Onbthe way back they were clinging to a dead fall on a steep bank.
                Buy a better brand.

I have one and love it. Very stable boat. My son and I have used it in all kinds of waters. It's great for fishing the bay flats for reds because it will float in about 4" of water. We even took it out in San Luis Pass catching sharks. Calm days in the surf it's great for fishing off the beach.

A 48 quart igloo fits perfect inside it, and we usually used them for seats. One cooler for fish and one for dry storage.

Great for duck hunting too! Was able to push pole through some skinny water to get to some good spots fast.

I bought one back in high-school. Fished dang near every pond and small lake between Sheldon reservoir and the Dolan gravel pits outside of Cleveland. Man I loved that thing for pond jumping. Could run all day on small trolling motor and fresh battery

Not sure on the model it was 25 years ago but I remember I bought it at academy in Humble when it was still over the ponchos lol

The Dolen gravel pits used to be good when I was growing up. I fished some other little honey hole lakes in that area too that were good fishing.

I have one and I've used it on a dinky little pond here on my place, as well as a 50 acre private lake. Very stable and easy to fish in by one or two people. Much better than a kayak!

I will advise you to store it on its side as it will fill up to a point (upright) and then fill the innerds, which is a b**** to get empty....especially when left on the edge of the water.

Love my 10E!!! Bought mine over a year ago from a TBH r and have been wearing it out. Fish two out of it with no problems. Have only had it on small water and wouldn’t get on a big lake.
Very stable and comfortable. I have made a few improvements from the basic boat.
I slide it in the bed of the F150.
I get a kick out of the almost cult like YouTube vids out there and all the mods these guys come up with.
I had never heard of them until I bought one but seem to be very popular.

I think I'm going to pull the trigger on this thing very soon. Too many good reviews online and on the forum to keep passing it up. Yeah the mods the guys are doing to these little boats on youtube are crazy. Some are really cool, but most are not necessary haha.
