Yes, the winner is the Kahr CW40.

The compact 40 S&W. It is a really nice packing gun for summertime. Below is my orignal thread. To which many good folks responded so Texag93 your right, the Kahr is sweet and worked out perfectly.

Some key points for me was that I wanted the 40 cal since I reload 10mm and 40 S&W uses the same dies, bullets, powder, and primers. Had to be very compact. Has 7 rounds. Not too expensive as a secondary gun for summertime.

Here is some pics of the little powerhouse..

Thanks to all who contributed !!

I have a G36 and a G32 which is 357sig and I prefer to carry the G32 as it holds more rounds and is just plain nasty as far as stopping power. I carry a XD 357sig in a tactical thigh rig when I hunt and have had to shoot 2 hogs which were charging and it stopped them instantly

I carry a .45 acp kimber ultra carryii as does the wife. She is 115 lbs soaking wet and dosnt have a problem with the recoil. That is her "american express" she never leaves home with out it! Mine goes with me everywhere also. Shorts, long britches and all.

I carry a Taurus 24/7 pro 9mm, but I just got a Kel tec p11 9mm. Fits in the back pocket of my jeans, and is light. 10+1 shoots realy well, it is a belly gun...

I go with my 50 cal Desert Eagle for spring, fall, and winter. In the summer if I'm in shorts I go with a "Judge". Oh I almost forgot about the 12 GA coach gun I like to slip down my leg. Suckers so light I forget it's there!

On a serious note I prefer a Glock 27 with a Keltec 380, and just stick with a Keltec if I'm in real light clothing with a little something something bigger close somewhere.

Im sorry i cant recommend any of those, im not a big fan of striker fire guns.

Personally I too carry a Kimber Ultra CDP II, but im saving up for a Bill Wilson Carry Pistol

No reason to be sorry. Anyone can make a mistake.

I have the Glock 36. I understand you are asking for opinions, so heres mine. My body frame is small, 5'7", 140 lbs. It is just tood big for me to carry and conceal properly. Now, I always were my shirt tail tucked in, with tight jeans. Just will not work for me. If I wore my shirts outside the pants, it would be much easier to conceal. I carry a Keltec .380 with the clip on the grip. I KNOW it's nothing but a toy, but I feel better having it with me at all times. Good luck.

I own a Springfield XD40 Subcompact and love it. It's the sweetest shooting little pistol I've ever shot. Unless you wear really baggy clothing, I don't think you would want to carry in your pocket though (it gives me the creeps having a loaded pistol in my pocket ) You can put the 9 round mag for concealed holster carry or the 12 round mag for automobile carry. Heard good things about Kahr's too. Good luck.

IMHO the VERY BEST gun for conceal carry is the ONE you will always have with you due to size, weight, comfort etc. regardless of caliber.

If its in the pickup cause it was dragging your shorts down then it does not matter how much knock down power it may have.

                          Good Luck in your decision.
What DOC said. How much firepower? Feel free to use my intricate formula:

If someone throws a stone at me, I will throw a Peterbilt at them! Easy.

The S&W CS9 and the Kimber Ultra-Carry .45's are both good choices.

You made a good choice. Take it out and "brake it in". I a couple hundred rounds of mix and match through mine before I decided it was fit for carry. Mine has run with everything I could find so far. I carry Hydro-Shoks in mine.
