By George, that's pretty dang good battery life! I've got 5 of the CB's and just got my first CB IR (for a non hunting related surveilence), but played with it a bit before putting it out, and it took better IR pics than the older CB No-Flash's I have. The new IR's are half the price of the old CB's and take much better day and night pics, and will take about 2500 pics on a set of batteries (that's the CB capture flash model)... and WAAAAY easier to program.

having said all that, I might have to try one of those scout guards doo flingies. What do they cost?

My next cameras will be Scoutguards when these last two POC Moultrie and Stealths kick the bucket. And that's not an if but a "when"......I'm looking for a KingsX bro-in-law deal right now....

I haven't had any problems problems with my SG. The Covert II is the same camera in a different case with a couple extra LED's getting just slightly better night pics.

I have all the above mentioned cameras, I prefer the capture and scoutguard if u must go the 200 rout, I finally gave up even though they are sticll kicking (3 captures and 2 scoutguards)broke down and bought a reconyx and buckeye. No more cheap cams for me, These will outlast those and are WAY better, they work flawlessly with good pics and fastest trigger speed yet. I used to try and get alot of cams in the 100-200 range but I am convinced. You get what you pay for and price in cameras means longevity and quality! But if u must, scoutguard is great for that price range, like someone stated lithium batteries cost more but will last 6 months at least. Sorry for the rant, I am an addict

I have one and will not use anything else. They take very good pics and are very easy to use.

                    Paris Texas Dealer

Here's a link to an authorized dealer from Paris TX

He gave me excellent service. The camera is excellent in my opinion. My only complaint was understanding the directions.

I think the 223 is not a good deal, go to beebusyoutdoors.com, 199.00 plus free shipping for the green one, camo aint worth any extra, it dont take better pictures. Joe at beebusy is awesome and will handle any troubles you have, he stands behind his business and products

Where did you buy your reconyx at? How are they performing now?

I agree with Drenalin....$223 is not really that good. Archery Talk has them for as low as $190 TYD.

Buy from an authorized retailer so that the warranty stays intact - I think if you by ebay you may end up losing the warranty.

beebusy outdoors stands behind the SG's. Great little cameras for the money. Easy to program and so small they are easy to hide.
