    Whats up with the Classifieds??

Too much Stimulus Money or is everyone just in the bartering mood?
More than not everybody has no cash value only trade value or WTT or like. Just curious, Maybe a new subject thread is needed. Items for trade..

It seems like 75% is ammo or guns. So trades more adequately get the person the caliber or gun they are looking for...cash gets them a long wait at Academy to find out its unavailable or an online out of stock notification.

Dammit, did you stay at a Holiday INN Express last night. That was a very good answer and response. I get on the green screen often during the day but the mind is still engaged with my work and never thought about it that way. Thanks!

Exactly this. Cash has no value when you can’t buy what you want.

If I sell some ammo I don't need I then have to hunt down the ammo I want to spend the recently obtained cash on.

Much easier to just trade for what I need.

It might be that many are afraid to be called gougers for wanting a specific price that a potential buyer will want to pay less for or not agree with the selling price of said item.
So it is easier to just barter. Not even Wampum works. Straight-out trading eliminates money.

Some of it is people trading what they don't need for stuff they can't find. Some just don't know what they want for something or don't really want to sell. Gotta love the "it's worth $100 in trade but I'll take $150 cash"

Probably the first time i've had a good answer to anything. Thanks.

You can sell it but you can't buy it. If the seller wants something it is best to trade for it.

Our money is becoming so worthless that let's say I have a box of ammo that used to be 20.00 and you do too. Rather than post mine for sale for 80.00 and get called human garbage just to buy yours for 80.00, it's easier to swap if possible.

Great answers above; however, it may be easier if Mods would add a Trade Thread would work great.

Bartering is the oldest form of transferring ownership. Well, theft could be the oldest........

Or in some cases, trades can avoid the spouse questioning how much you spent on ammo, guns, etc.
