Reports are that the Flea and Tick collar made by Seresto has been linked to almost 1700 dog deaths they supposedly last up to 8 months. I have had one on my Rottie for over a year and honestly, he is off his feed and not as active as he has been. The collar is off and will not go back on. If you use one, you might want to rethink it's use.

A regular bath, with a mild solution of Orange Oil.... ( And, I do mean MILD)...
Too strong, may burn their skin............
Will keep fleas and ticks, off your dog.... Besides, they'll smell great........... -

Both, my Weimaraner and small chihuahua/dachshund are 13yo, and have seresto collars on for 8yrs now. My dad turned me on to these collars, his dog is 18yo! We have not had any issues so far.Comment

some speculation that the issues are actually related to cheap knock off versions sold online. if you have a reputable source then probably not as big a worry.Comment

With about a cap full of orange oil..... Even that, might be a bit strong
