    Engine rebuilders/suppliers Texas

Anyone have a good recommendation for a rebuilt engine supplier in Texas, preferably north Texas? I need to get a rebuilt Ford FE 360/390. Mine is ok and runs just needs to be rebuilt. I’m planning to rebuilt transmission and engine.

You might check with a Jasper dealer

What do you have the 390 in?
      Small or big port heads?

I called them but they don’t carry instock and will have to rebuild my motor which is fine but said it will take 10wks. Also I have heard mixed reviews about them. Just looking for different options

              Jasper comes with a warranty.

I had one in my Bronco a 302. It was terrificly reliable.

I wouldn’t hesitate to buy another.

              That’s the boring route.

If you want awesome, take it to Reher Morrison. Let them work their magic.

If Jasper does not normally rebuild FEs, I would get someone else to rebuild it. I don't know of any machine shops in north Texas, so I can't help you on that. I am sure there are still some machine shops up there, that know FEs, but not sure how you would find them.

You might get on some of the facebook FE groups and ask some of those guys for recommendations for north Texas machine shops. For the most part, FEs are not much different from other engines, but I have heard of machine shops not familiar with them doing a lot of damage, because they did not get the valve train correct.

The C6 should not be hard to get built, they have their little quirks also, but they are not hard to rebuild.
