I bought myself Badlands this year and used it on a goose hunt. I still need to get some bibs when they go on sale again. That 40% discount around Thanksgiving is awesome.
      I like the badlands.

Don’t trust anyone that only says one brand. None of them make the best of everything but alll make the best of something

I have a mixture of Sitka, Kuiu, and various hiking brands

I cant speak work Kuiu or Sitka, but I do have First Lite. I have their mid and heavy weight base layers, 2 base layer tops (one is a hoodie), the guide pants, North Branch pants and the Woodburry jacket. The Woodburry I believe is discontinued, but that sucker is warm, and it isnt even their heaviest jacket. I only wear it a few times a few times a year. Those items can cover me through an entire texas deer season, except I still need a light jacket to help with the wind. Every piece I own is well made and I am 100% pleased.

I love wool. So I go First Lite all day. But I mostly hunt in the mountains, with one bout of WI white tails, where I am in a blind sitting the entire day with sub 20 degrees, with a heavy coat and thick bibs on. Jacket is FL, bibs are carhart.

Honestly, any of them are good. Order some of each, try them all on. Return what you don't like.

To be fair I only own sitka so I can't speak for the other two. I bought sitka two years ago after wearing cheap stuff my whole life. I actually saved up for a while. It wasn't cheap and I had buyers remorse...until I wore it for the first time. Two years in and its the best money I've ever spent. I have several pieces that I have mixed and matched, and that's another whirlwind when u start buying. I hunt solely out of a tree, in Temps down in the teens at times. I tend to sweat a lot on the way in. Sitka dries out quick and keeps me warm the entire hunt. It's comfortable and built well. I will always recommend sitka to anyone who can budget for it.

I have all 3 as well.
First Lite for their merino wool base layers.
Kuiu for their soft shell stuff.
I tend to mix it all and usually buy earth tone solids for the more expensive items. Always buy on sale.
Just pick up a couple pieces each year. I never wanted an all matched set anyway

Kuiu here, and have been very pleased with it. My main reason for going with it over others, is it’s lightness and fit. I hate bulk and and Kuiu fits the bill perfectly. Now, with that being said, there are times I may have to later a bit extra over someone wearing the Sitka or FL but that’s not a problem for me at all!

The only thing I’m concerned with on the Kuiu is the athletic fit. I’m not athletically fit. Lol

As said, kuiu is more of an athletic fit and cut. It's a legit layering system so they fit snug so the bulk is minimized. Kuiu is also more of an "active" hunting product. Sitka has more options as far as types of hunts, waterfowl, whitetail, western, etc. I prefer Sitka based on fit, but kuiu is a close second.

I went Kuiu because of the fit, have to order a size or two up but their gear is very comfortable to me. My wife bought me the super down jacket and the gale force bibs for my bday in November. The jacket is one of the most comfortable pieces of clothing I’ve ever worn and it is incredibly warm. It’s so lite you forget it’s on. Super packable. The bibs I wore 4 days in the snow at our place during this past storm and also very. Comfortable and completely water proof/wind proof. I have attack pants and several under layers (t’s and qtr zips) love their products. First lite didn’t fit me at all so I never purchased any, as for Sitka it’s good gear but I try to stick with one brand if it works. You won’t be disappointed with any and you will be kicking yourself for not spending the money years ago. There is a huge difference in these brands vs academy/bass pro etc.

I've been thru it all and ended up w Sitka Incinerator bibs, First Lite Sanctuary jacket, Kuiu super down jacket and pants, Sitka Fahrenheit vest, Kuiu merino zip tees, and the best beanie made.. Sitka Fanatic.

When it's warmer I mix match Predator or what ever other pants and ASAT pattern stuff but have found the warmer stuff is still nice with less on underneath.

I really dig the Incinerator bibs and Sanctuary jacket combo.

Most my Kuiu pieces haven't held up more than a few seasons. The quality of Kuiu stuff even my Yukon gear is trashed.

                              Mountain hardward puffy
kuiu zip off base and 125w shirt
Prana pants early season, Stone glacier late season
First light Grid fleece, sitka fantastic hood, stoneglacier helio, Kuiu 94 pelton ... all are different weights.
                              Columbia outdry rain jacket
                              Kuiu gaiters
Firstlite boxes but after these wear out I’m done, they don’t hold up
                              Farm to feet socks

I’ll wear the sitka light weight hoodie for turkeys

Obviously I go buy pieces I like, the first like kalamth would be my favorite hoodie if it had a kangaroo pocket like frantic or Kuiu strong fleece.

Treat yourself to short sleeve shirts, 1/4 zips, good socks and leggings. And consider a beanie, face mask or gloves.

I like first lite stuff. I wear the heck out of my Short sleeve and 1/4 zip....and wear my brimmed beanie all season.
