I'm looking for a good place to go dove hunting with a group of 5 or 6 hunters for a weekend. We'd like decent lodging and a fire to sit around at night. Meals provided would be good but not necessary. Would like somewhere with good flyways and historically good hunting. Not looking for a mass operation where we share a field with 20 other hunters. Does such a place exist?

You can call David Heep with Bluff Springs Lodge.
If he still does his dove hunts, it is exactly what you’re asking for he on HWY 173 between Hondo and Bandera
It is an awesome place, great lodge and even better folks
tell him Kevin Meadows sent ya

Axis hunting is real really good. When I was there last...hunting... it wasn’t really set up for bow hunting but he said that’s gonna change
This is the last axis I took there ...blackbuck as well
