Buy a new screen. Amazon has screens for most computers. There are Youtube videos on how to change the screen on most models or at least a model similar to yours.

Use the model number off of the bottom of the laptop and see if you can find the replacement part number from hp.com. Then using that replacement #, search the googles for one you like pricewise, then watch youtube on how to remove the old one.

Ive seen displays cost up to $900, so keep that in mind.

Replaced the screen on my granddaughters chromebook. Screen cost about $60 and it took about 20 minutes to do it.

I hocked it up to a tv thru the HDMI cable. and I'm able to get the stuff I need for now.

Got the new screen ... watched a video and it took about 39 minutes with the wife asking question.... Looks Like new.

So it would have taken 20 minutes without the wife helping?

Gorilla glue is cheaper! Nice job, though.

Glad it worked out for you Stan, and the extra 19 minutes you spent answering those questions just go in your good karma credit column. Nice repair job.
