Anybody hunt just north of hawley which is north of Abilene ? Just wondering about deer population?

I used to work on Ranches there. There’s a good population of deer. Some good deer are taken out in that area. -
I hunted the place next to mine when I lived in Hawley. I had a feeder out with a camera, and from September to December I saw a deer nine times on camera. Never saw one in real life in about eight or nine sits. Some areas were a little better further out in the country than we were, but the population is spread pretty thin and hunted pretty hard.
Others may have different experience, I have a friend who lived up off 335 or 348 that killed a few deer every year.

My dad is looking at a place up that way also, it’s hit or miss with deer population. I’ve hunted a few places around it never seen a ton of deer without going further westComment

We own 230 acres just north of Hawley. Plenty of deer, pigs and turkeys.

North of Abilene deer population
It looked amazing pig sign everywhere. The deer signed looked good as well.
