The number of people in my neighborhood that don't know how to shut off their water at the main line is unbelievable.

This summer I dug around looking for the shut off valve where the line comes off the city line. It wasn't there. I found it next to the house where it comes out of the ground. My neighbor lady had her pipes bust in the attic yesterday. Her shut off valve is in the same place and was so corroded that I couldn't get it shut off all the way. It's a disaster over there.Comment
