I have hit 120+ mph before, but I didn’t stay there long...

Good point. I just read the thing again and it says to SHIFT to 4h only UNDER 62 mph. Says nothing about top speed. Folks on tacomaworld say 55.

Been over 110 before but only for about a 1/4 of a mile

I heard that my entire life....mostly by people who never owned a 4x4 or never left pavement.

4wd keeps me on the move when others are stuck. Today was a classic example of that.

Only got it up to about 60 today - but it's a Toyota, pretty sure as fast is it'll go would work too.

But yes, if the roads are good enough to do 100 on, probably not going to have it in 4WD.

I think the top speed wouldn't be as big of an issue as trying to make a sharp turn.

My speed limiter is set for 130 right now so 130 is all she will do in 4wd

That guy was probably sell vacuum cleaners door-to-door last week, and encyclopedias the week before that.

However fast you want. There was a time when selectable 4wd was an option. Literally there is zero reason you can not drive in 4wd Hi

                      70 np.
If I'm in 4Hi I'm probably not driving much faster than that for a reason

Nothing wrong with a sharp turn either, as long as the wheels can slip.
On dry pavement it's a big no no, and you can break driveline components.
If you own a 4x4 it should be put in 4hi once week and driven for a few miles, as it keeps everything lubed and functioning.
Most manuals tell you this but few people do it.
Any straight stretch of road, anywhere, anytime will work, as long as you drive semi-straight.
My Tundra says I can switch in and out at 60mph, so I don't see any speed being a problem .

If I am running in 4x4 I am not moving fast

But I know a late 90's model powerstroke can hand grenade a transfer case at 90 on a Kansas dry dirt road. Probably still find parts along that stretch
                          Was not mine

I disagree with this thru first hand experience! Not disagreeing with the chains though
