Here’s what I had to do to get mine back up and running.

One mans trash is another mans treasure! Awesome effort on the improvised retrieval tool!

Glad I saw this thread today. My Mr. Buddy left me cold this weekend at the first baseball scrimmage. Pilot would barely come on and unit would not light up to heat. I watched the video. To get mine running I tore about half the cotton off of a Qtip. Dipped it in rubbing alcohol and ran it up the pilot light hole and cleaned it out good. Works like a champ after that

What LWC said below. If that does not work and you have used a 5 gal tank & hose you can build up oil in the fuel lines. From what I have read you have to remove the front & side covers and blow out the fuel lines

Here's a pretty good picture breakdown of some of my cleanings and spider scares lol .... You can at least see what is behind the skin here. I've done several repairs for folks removing the oil from the lines if the q-tip/pip cleaner deal doesn't work for you. If you've used a 5 gallon tank without a filter then you probably have oil in your lines. Pics towards the end POST 38 as well.

Even with a filter, the filter can fill with oil and eventually get in the lines, based on what I read

Of course...that needs to be changed as well but it takes several years from what I am told. I've never had one need a new filter in a deer blind situation so far. But I'll check soon since I'm on year 5 or 6.
