I am looking at a 2008 Mahindra 4510 and wondering if anyone has used one and thoughts? I have a 3525 that I have been happy with but need 4wd and grapple. Anyone ran one?

Found a 50 something horse in a barn on a ranch I was selling about 10 yeas ago. Had 32 hours on it, I have run it ever since, only in shop twice, once front axle seal blew out and the other was the fuel pump thingy. Bills tractor told be that fuel part was crazy expensive and they could just rebuild for $1500 and put a manual fuel cutoff to save money. Did that and still runs great, bought a grapple and 6 ft shredder along with discs and road grades and it always starts and runs great. Oh yeah, side not the cabling for the accelerator comes to gather under the dash for the hand throttle and the foot throttle and the cabling gets dirty real easy and throttle stick. I just spray it down every few months. Almost 400 hours on it now.

I had a 45 HP for many years. Could not break it. I pushed and moved atuff i shouldnt have all the time. Sure i did some things like broke front axle a couple times. Blew holes in radiator. I abused it. Cleared 30 acres of cedar. Then moved it and cleared 10 acres of cedar and cleared rocks. I didnt cut and push. I pushed out root balls. Sometimes i had to ram the trees in 2nd gear from different angles to break them loose. I would endorse Mahindra

Do not worry about the year... most manufacturers will build the same model for several years before changes.
Focus on hours. 600 is not alot for that tractor.
If’n you get it, service it , oil, fuel filter, maybe hydraulic also,,, and work it like you stole it.

Go to,
asktractormike.com
He has several good videos explaining what to look for when buying a used tractor.
I will add, most parts are expensive and hard to get now, due to supply chain being interrupted.Last edited by Buckshot-73; 02-07-2021, 09:55 AM.

I have a 2008 7010 I bought used with a around 900hrs
Had to replace the fuel pump at about 1000hrs
Otherwise the only major issue I’ve had has been the A/C which I plan to replace the compressor next month.
They are strong machines, heavy too. I primarily use mine in combo with a 15’ batwing to keep our place mowed. I run it hard, a 15’ batwing on a 70hp engine is a lot, I run it wide open for 10-12 hrs mowing.
My complaints are more around the ergonomics of the cab but mechanically it’s been pretty solid.
