They called me the other day with that. I asked them if it was the one that is 20 years old or 32 years old.

They are persistent bots. I've blocked over 30 numbers and still get calls.

I got a call that I won millions with the publishers clearing house. I was playing along, while the feller was explaining what I needed to do to claim the $$. As he was talking I started saying in the background "Bob, do you have a trace on the phone yet" "So you have his location now Bob" "So we have him". The guy hung up immediately.

I'm not sure why a real person is on the line sometimes and they hang up as soon as you ask anything. Doesn't seem like a very good strategy for scamming me for money to hang up.

I was on a doe hunt last week and had just clipped my release on the string to shoot a doe when my phone started buzzing. I unhooked my release, and grabbed my phone but did not recognize the number so I didn't answer. A minute later I get a notification of a voicemail. I went ahead and shot the doe, then checked my voicemail. And they were just calling to let me know that my warranty had expired or was about to expire.....

When they call now, I just sit the phone down or ask them about a warranty for my 2001 Nissan.

I had one call me yesterday saying my SS Number was going to be frozen due to illegal activity. Normally I have my phone set so non contacts are silenced but I was expecting a call from a client whose number I did have at the time.

So anyway, the caller said my SSN was about to be frozen. I also asked “Which one?”

They also hung up. Puzzling.

I love messing with telemarketers, especially if I’m driving and have nothing better to do.

Years ago, when we had a landline, I’d let my 4 year old boy talk to them. One time, I heard my boy say, “no, daddy said I could talk to you.” Still makes me giggle.

Mostly just a reaction and I wanted to stop it from buzzing. Deer did not hear it and I was not real worried about them running off. It was a doe and I already had one on the ground.
