    Here’s a happy thought

Assumed this article was clickbait but I had to check it out anyway. What I found was that Apple is going to make a change to its OS14 privacy settings that will potentially kick Facebook square in the beans. Does the thought of sucker punching Facebook in the junk bring a smile to your face? It does for me.

Users will apparently now have the option to block apps from collecting data...data that Facebook gorges itself on for revenue and manipulation. So, we have another method to choking and starving the beast. Happy happy. I hope to live long enough to see Facebook die a miserable death, but with its acquisition of Oculus, I doubt that will happen.

    Hopefully the link works.

Sounds good but I never been on it. My wife is and I’ve been trying for years to get her to dump it

It wouldn’t surprise me if they came out with that option. The only thing is how do we know it’s legit? I’m sure they would put something there to make people feel good.

Maybe.... but remember a few years ago when that terrorist attacked a school in southern California and the FBI asked Apple to unlock his phone? Apple said no way because it would set a precedent for unlocking their phones. They guarded privacy above security.

This is the reason that I closed out my Facebook position.

How else would she know what others did today or are today or how they’re feeling.

Charlie believe it or not Apple does give a crap about your privacy unlike Google/Android.

Yea, I know Mike... I have an iPhone myself, and their security settings are better than any other device I have... That' why I tolerate their software Naziism in not letting outside drives, and such interact with their devices...
