Boat to kayak questions

Thanks for the advice. If I could keep both I would. It's just the money from the boat will get the adventure trailer rolling. I think if I did find a way to keep the boat it would just set there. The reason for the questions. Is in the 2019-2020 deer season me and my oldest got drawn for 3 tpwd hunts and spent 9 day in a tent. From what he said the other day, he can't stop thinking about it and we need to go as much as we can, and that he wants to see everything.

It just depends on what you enjoy. You can catch all the fish you'd want to catch out of a kayak or a boat. You just have to use different approaches. Both can be fun and one isn't right or wrong. Both the boat and the kayak give you specific advantages and disadvantages. If you can use them to your benefit you'll be happy with either one. And if you try to make one do the job of the other you'll probably be disappointed.
One thing about it, there is no limit to how many boats you can buy. They come and they go. If you feel like doing something different and want a new challenge and adventure with your boys then sell the boat and set up a kayak fishing and camping outfit and have fun. You can always buy another boat later if your interests change. They make 'em pretty much every day.

I absolutely LOVE kayak fishing, but rarely get to fish with anyone who can keep up with me and rarely get to fish alone so boats for our family. Having said that, if your kiddos like the kayaks I say keep both and use the boat when conditions dictate. Kayak fishing sucks when the winds pickup so it can limit days not having the boat.
