Where did OP go to? Has he weighed back in, since early on?
If he doesn't know that he's being taken for a ride, then comes on here and asks for advice/opinions, and still hasn't figured it out, it sounds like that landowner hit the jackpot on finding guys who have more money, than sense......

Maybe he’s the landowner and asking the question to see if the leasers are making valid complaints? Idk off to just disappear like that

That guy joined in 2017 and is still a spike. So either he is just not on here at all or it is somebody that has another account.

I've never liked the idea of a season only lease, call any time you plan to be on the property, family reserves Thanksgiving weekend so the everyone coming in can hunt, etc.

That said, I can see this becoming the norm as leases get harder to find.

How can the landowner be double dipping when it’s MLD. Check how many tags were issued and how many were used.

There are better leases but it’s still way cheaper than buying your own place.

                These terms are acceptable
As long as people keep agreeing to it.

I can’t see paying for a lease and essentially having another group of people doing their thing on it

How Can you ever manage it

As for the cost and what you’re getting. Or more importantly what you’re not getting, I think you’re over paying by a significant margin. A SOLID south texas lease with full access, bird hunting, etc can be found for less per acre than you’re paying.

It’s a working cattle ranch and he does his thing during the week, working livestock and such. There’s no signs of foul play as far as running day hunts or anything like that. 17 buck tags were issued this season, 30 something doe tags. The OP is not the landowner, just looking for a general consensus.

                    I’d be out.
