    The box in the pens shows it is a wolf release site, that box is not for sheep.
    They provide a fenced in pen for acclimating to the area before they open the gate and let them out.
    They released Mexican wolves in Arizona.

        Well after checking, it looks like we were in a wolf recovery area.

                Be careful what you shoot at, betting a dead wolf would be expensive.
                Kind of surprised the fencing was not removed unless they planned to use it for more releases.

                      looking at some of the pics of the wolves, I could see someone mistaking a juvenile wolf for a coyote. I wouldn't want any part of that fine. I read were you can't even kill a wolf if it attacks a pet or livestock on public land.
