Had some scrap wood so I built a subsonic .22 target.
1) Cutout for target.
2) Chamber for old foam bow target to muffle sound.
3) Sand chamber. (10" thick)
4) 2" thick wood as final insurance.
I have shot the foam block before and .22 will pass through it. Not sure how much it slows down the bullet but it makes a great muffler for when the .22 hits the plywood separating chamber 2 and 3. Eventually the foam block and wood behind it will get chewed up but I think it will be a while before that happens. Fun to have a little extra time to do stuff like this. Chamber 3 is 10" thick which is more than enough for .22
