We installed one last year in my dads shop. Put everything in ourselves and then had a local a/c guy come out finish it out and connect the lines and double checking what we done. He charged us $200. There isn't anything hard at all in installing one and they are very efficient.

I was recently quoted $250 for installation plus $3/foot for wiring. This was for a 1 ton 12k btu a/c unit. $450 for the unit.
