Repairing A Boot Heel That Came Off?
04-01-2009, 02:16 PM
The heel on one of my boots has come off, and I'm trying to decide if I need to go to a boot shop, or if I can re-attach it myself. Has anyone ever done this, and have a successful method that will work/last?
It's a pair of boots like these:

I put some gorilla glue on one once it worked very well if u follow the directions exactly . Maby worth a try if they are not dress boots.

A little duct tape and/or bailing wire ought to do it.

Take it to a boot repair shop, unless you like frustration

Dingo Boots?
Dang, that picture just triggered a 70's drug flashback.

I had a problem like that and my wife suggested Liquid Nails. Don't laugh - it worked! Being wearing them for a couple of months now.

Shoe Goo
Just gooed my Redwing work boots back together last week. Available at Wally World for about $4.00 a tube in the shoe section.
Put the goo in where the sole separated, clamped it and let it sit overnight.
Went and walked several miles the next day. Cheap fix.
