Seems like those that follow recruiting would know these services rank them based off the camps and competitions and have for years. Kid has an extremely high ceiling regardless of his stats and starts. He played in one game as a Freshman and 5 games as a Sophomore, the Fall would have been his first year as the true starter. Hopefully he gets to play this Spring. Otherwise, he can continue to develop and remain injury free until he gets to Texas for all I care.


The Weigman kid will be a 5* before it's all said and done.

I think both Weigman and Murphy end up as high 4 star players. Murphy is actually only a 5 star in the composite.

I agree, fringe 5* star/composite 5* because they'll get the nod from one of the three services and as you said, be high 4's.

Hopefully Weigman doesn't get drafted too high in the MLB draft for the Aggies and Maalik can develop to fit his athletic ability. Maybe these dudes can meet on the field.

His parents are Aggies, but they supposedly weren't pushing him in any specific direction. Once Jimbo took Weigman, that was pretty much off the table.
