    Arrow gurus,Which arrow?

Just a quick technical ? for all you arrow gurus. Shooting 67# @ 29" arrow...I want to shoot a 160 grain broadhead. Can I still shoot carbons/if so which one or if not which aluminum. I look at those charts but I really can't make much sense out of them. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What type of bow, what type of cams, if it has cams, speed. Unless you are shooting a recurve or long bow why would you shoot such a heavy broadhead?

Assuming you shoot a compound, I'd look at the CarbonTech Rhinos in their 55/80 weight range. I shoot mine at 31" with a 100 grain broadhead and they're slightly over spined, but I tuned my bow for them to hunt. I shot them with a 14 grain b/h and they flew right with my field points- but I was not crazy about the Muzzy 4 blades. I'd wager at 29 inches with the 160, those would fly great. My 31" with 100 grain b/h weight over 500 grains, great energy and all shots have been passthroughs (pig, elk, deer). Shafts are made in USA in Sacramento, California. If you can't find them in Texas, call Mike Pierce or Curtis Campisi at Predator Archery in Gilroy, CA and have them ship them to you, he does a lot of internet and phone business in addition to sales in the store. Both can answer your question as well.

Shooting a legacy/Q2. I wanted to shoot a heavy fixed blade b/h with a wide cut for large hogs(300+). Zephyr makes a b/h that looks the part so I figure I would try them. Thanks for the info Bill.

Call Mike if you can't find them, tell him what you're shooting and ask for his recommendations. Always support the local guy 1st, if you can't he's my local guy. Tell him I sent you.
